Continually aspiring author, and perpetually young mom, I live in Washington with my husband, two sons, and two cats, Pumpkin and Hercules. I read and write as often as I can, volunteer at my church, play D&D (when I can round up enough players for it), and occasionally serenade the neighbors with my violin.
Though a writer and author for several years, I’ve been a word nerd for much longer. My tendency to edit as I write can make writing my own first drafts challenging, but my eye for catching typos and the ear for hearing clunky phrasing has made me even more proficient as an editor.
As is the case with most editors, I started as a writer. A childhood filled with daydreaming left me with a head full of stories and fingers itching to release them. So I wrote.
In time I made several wonderful writer friends and we quickly built each other up in our skills and confidence. Soon they began pointing out my natural skill in editing, specifically my ability to spot issues others missed and diagnosing problems that had been tormenting them.
After several more years of reading and studying and learning all I could about the craft of writing, I realized I had begun doing the work of a full time editor without being paid for it. And so MoosEditorial was born.
I’d love to chat and get to know you and your writing journey. Even if we don’t end up working together, I love connecting with writers of all sorts.
I’m quite aMOOSEing when you get to know me
